My rear driver side defogger wire came off the rear window, I had it soldered back on and about a year later it fell off. I again had it soldered and has yet fallen off again. I've been told by a dealership that I may have to replace the rear window, I find that hard to believe. I heard there is some kind of glue that will fix this. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Almost identical issue to other respondent. Driver's side defogger wire broke off the window. Dealer soldered back on and charged by $100+. A few months later, it fell off again. Took it back and they re-soldered, this time with no charge. Now, less than a year later, it popped off again. Dealer is now saying I need a new window, to the tune of $350+. That is beyond belief...
Just got into vehicle one day and the wire was hanging. The rear defrost no longer works.
When I purchased my used truck this was broken on it but the dealership paid for it to get fixed. Have not had a issue since.

2006 GMC Yukon Denali 120,000 mi,
I have the same problem. My clip came off the rear deck lid passenger side, and the glass shop I took it to said the clip was too close to the edge and they couldn't repair it. They told me I need a new window. What kind of solder would I get to repair this? I have had 4 computers go out, my air pump on the rear stabelizer has went bad 4 times, and my air shock on the rear has went out. I had it replaced at $850.00 and they installed it wrong and had to re-due it again. This vehicle has been a problem child from the beginning.
2005 GMC Yukon Denali 120,000 mi,
I had the same problem with the tab on the rear window breaking off. I fixed it 2 years ago and have not had a problem since. I soldered it on and then put a clear epoxy over the solder joint. This has solved my problem and hopefully others that have had the same issue, this will help you too.
