Problem Description and Possible Solution

A rattle from the rear of the vehicle may indicate that the rear shock absorbers are defective. Updated shocks are available; however, careful inspection of all suspension components should be performed before any parts are replaced.

Constant rattle on right rear of car sounds like strut gone bad but further investigation revals bushing deterated that between sprong and car body..
Just began yesterday and has been happening on and off, not constantly. And the knocking is loud, sounds like someone is hitting bottom left rear of car with hammer.
rear struts wear out. I am in the process of replacing on 07 sebring.
also have an 08 avenger we bought new and rear struts started making strange popping noises at 50,000 miles.
rattle and bangs from rear of vehicle. inspection shows top rear strut mount corroded and bushing gone.
Loud sqeeking in rear of vehicle when going over bump, & driving on poor road conditions. Every little bump gone over it seems is felt. Diagnosis: replace front and rear struts, and replace rear rocker arm. Have conv, 6 cylinder autostick trans.
Terrible rattle started on the left drivers side, then a week later started on the right passenger side..... Can't believe struts and shocks going out at only 32,000 miles
