What is your question?
I have a smart for two and when I try and go into reverse the car will not move like the break is stuck. I recently removed the rpm and clock gauge is there a chance the two are related?

Hello, The cause is likely the transmission range position switch, which lets the control module understand which drive range you have selected. Also, if the ABS or traction control lights are coming on, it could be limiting power to the wheels because it thinks it is slipping. In this case, you may get the vehicle to move a little, but it would seem horribly difficult and as if the engine was not trying. The other thing is that the wire harness for the instrument cluster being removed and reinserted could lead to issues in communication for data lines, so make sure you have the connector properly reinserted.
thank you - the wiring to the gauges was cut. but would the breaks be related to that at all?.... No ABS lights
Sure, if the data line is not registering vehicle speed, but the wheels start turning with the vehicle in gear, it will hit the brakes for you or cut engine power to prevent the wheel spin it thinks you are experiencing.
