What is your question?
"Dealer recommends oil pump replacement due to internal short". Oil levels fine vehicle operating normally however P06DD Code showed up twice once after did my own oil change. Checked oil cap dipstick plug and oil level all fine. code cleared after restart and did not return. Second occurrence after hard acceleration lost power then return to normal function light and code remained. Dealer recommended oil pump replacement due to internal short. My Question is: Is this necessary or urgent? oil pressure and levels are fine vehicle operating normally

Really difficult to know what's going on without hands on testing. Possible causes for P06DD: Incorrect oil filter used Oil Level Low Oil pressure system issue (as with the pump) Oil pressure sensor concern Engine mechanical failure Dual state oil pump concern Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
