side step brushed metal trim falls off/door molding curls at the edge outward

What is your question?

Has anyone had problems with the rivets disintegrating on the side step trim (part # VTK500010) and then seperating from the step or the door molding (part# DGJ500010pma) curling upward at the edge. This does not strike me as normal wear for a garaged vehicle with 42,000 miles

Yes, I've a 65k V8 and they have both fallen off. Can you get the trim only, rather than buy two new side steps?

Mine just fell off alos has 75,000 miles and I am also looking for the trim only. has anyone had any luck find the trim piece?
