Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Ah, running out of gas—it's like your car's version of a bad hangover! When you run dry, sometimes air sneaks into the fuel lines and messes with the flow, causing the car to start and then conk out. Here's a little trick: turn the key to the "on" position (don't start it) and wait a few seconds. Do this a few times, like giving your car some deep breaths to clear out the air. Then try starting it again. If your ride's still being stubborn, you might need to check the fuel filter or pump. Sometimes running out of gas stirs up debris from the tank's bottom. If it's still acting up, it's time to let a mechanic work their magic. Good luck!
