As my key fob decided to stop working I had to open the driver's side door manually by prying off the door handle cap off and opening the door manually. Now the door handle cap won't stay on. Any idea why?
How long has your 2008 Land Rover LR2 had this problem?
A couple of months but it's gotten worse.

I don't know first hand how it goes on, but my guess is that there are locking tabs that may be compromised. I would visit a local dealership to have their parts department look at your cap and see how it may compare to a new one.
