Will not shift out of Park into Drive or Reverse

Hello, one reason the shift lever may not release from Park gear is that the brake light switch signal may not be coming through to allow the shift lever interlock to disengage. Check to see if your brake lights work. If not, this could be another clue to look there. Also, always check for any blown fuses. Hands on testings is required.
