What is your question?
Car shut off suddenly on road and wouldnt start. Found out the timing chain broke, and sprocket had minor damage. Mechanic told me that some piece went inside engine. So changing the engine is the best option. Other option is to change timing chain but it is not guaranteed if the car will start or not.

Hey, my name is Dusty, and I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. I'm here to help! What a nightmare... I'm inclined to agree with them; replacement is the best option and the most surefire way to resolve the issue. You could replace the failed components and still end up with an engine that doesn't start, which isn't an inexpensive gamble and could ultimately compound the repair costs. Catastrophic failure like that is never good, and it's best to get a fresh start if you intend on keeping the vehicle.
