Problem overview

Some Toyota Venza owners report experiencing issues with motor oil leaks, which can lead to frequent oil replacements. These leaks may be caused by various factors, including problems with engine gaskets and system components. Common leak sources in the first generation Venza include the valve cover, timing cover, oil cooler line, and rear main seal. Additionally, some models equipped with the 2GR-FE engine have reported failures in the oil feed line to the VVT actuators. If oil is leaking past seals or gaskets, some owners find that using a High Mileage oil with special chemicals can help reduce or stop the leaks. Prompt attention to these issues is important to prevent further complications.
