Recall due to leaking seals inside brake master cylinder on Jeep Cherokee

Submitted by Vehicle Owner · May 29, 2025

Problem overview

Jeep issued a recall on some ABS equipped vehicles because seals inside the master cylinder fail. When the seals fail, a loss of pressure is detected causing the ABS hydraulic pump to cycle on more frequently or run continuously. This will lead to premature failure in the hydraulic pump. There is a lifetime warranty on the seals and the hydraulic pump motor. Normal braking will still work but brake pedal effort may increase.
