This software defect has led to the recall of approximately 12,349 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe models in the U.S. and 806 in Canada, as it poses a significant risk of vehicle rollaways while in PARK. Additionally, Hyundai Motor America has issued recalls affecting around 67,000 vehicles, including the 2024 Santa Fe, to address this transmission rollaway risk.
