Chrysler Crossfire trunk won't open, unable to find keyhole on Chrysler Crossfire

Problem overview

Some Chrysler Crossfire owners report experiencing difficulties with their trunk not opening, particularly due to the absence of a keyhole. These issues often arise when the vehicle doors are not unlocked prior to attempting to open the trunk. Additionally, some owners have noted that the trunk release mechanism, found under the center of the trunk above the license plate, may not function properly if there is a failing handle or latch. In cases where the convertible top is jammed, it may also impact the trunk's functionality, requiring owners to unlock the convertible near the rearview window and press and hold the convertible button to resolve the issue.
