Buick Encore radiator fan continuously running after shutdown, unresolved issue on Buick Encore

Problem overview

Some Buick Encore owners report experiencing issues with the radiator fan continuing to run even after the vehicle is shut down. This problem may be attributed to a faulty fan relay that gets stuck in the "on" position, or it could stem from a defective PCM or ECU, as well as electrical wiring complications. Additionally, some owners have noted that a faulty temperature sensor, a stuck relay switch, or engine overheating may also cause the fan to operate continuously. To troubleshoot, replacing the fan relay can often resolve the issue, while temporarily pulling the relay when turning off the car can stop the fan until a new one is installed. Regular maintenance checks and prompt attention to unusual fan behavior are recommended to prevent these issues from escalating.
