GMC Envoy low oil pressure warning after camshaft actuator replacement and ECM programming on GMC Envoy

Some GMC Envoy owners report experiencing a low oil pressure warning after replacing the camshaft actuator and programming the ECM. These issues may arise due to inadequate engine oil levels, which can trigger the warning light. Additionally, dirty engine oil can negatively impact the variable valve timing camshaft actuators, leading to further complications. Some owners have noted that a reading of 0 oil pressure may not indicate a faulty oil pump, but rather a clogged oil screen on the intake, especially if pressure returns after restarting the vehicle.
