The Transmission Control Module (TCM) uses Clutch Pressure Control Solenoids to control the hydraulic pressure in the transmission in order to apply the various clutch packs in the transmission to activate the different gears needed to efficiently propel the vehicle down the roadways. When the TCM detects the pressure is lower than desired, code P2714 will set.
