Will P260C go away on its own?
Once the vehicle's onboard system no longer detects the issue, most codes will disappear on their own. If your vehicle still has this code, however, it should be properly diagnosed to avoid a more serious problem.

What causes OBD-II fault code P260C?
The PTO allows Auxiliary equipment such as a dump bed or plow to be hydraulically operated using the vehicle's transmission. If there is a fault with the PTO unit, code P260C is stored and the PTO System will be disabled.
