What causes OBD-II fault code P242C?
The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) the temperature of the exhaust gas going into and out of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). If the PCM detects an implausible signal from the EGT sensor, it will store code P242C.
