What causes OBD-II fault code P079F?
The Hybrid Control Module monitors the transmission clutches for slippage. If the Control Module detects any slippage when the sixth clutch is activated code P079F will be set. The hybrid control module may also place the vehicle in "limp home", limiting available engine/transmission performance to prevent additional damage.
