Once the vehicle's onboard system no longer detects the issue, most codes will disappear on their own. If your vehicle still has this code, however, it should be properly diagnosed to avoid a more serious problem.

Adaptive cruise control uses multiple sensors to monitor what is going on in front of the driver to allow for either a driver warning or automatic braking based on the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front you. If there is an issue with one or more of these sensors, code P056B will be set and the cruise control system will be disabled.
