What causes OBD-II fault code P0256?
The Fuel Injection Pump supplies high pressure fuel to the fuel injectors. Output pressure from this pump is controlled by the Fuel Pump Control Actuator. When the engine control module (PCM) detects an incorrect signal from the Fuel Injection Pump Actuator, the PCM sets code P0256.
