1994 Porsche 968 - Manual Transmission 75,000 mi,
started late 60,000's, now at 77,000 getting much louder. Scheduled to have it repaired soon (May 2013)

Pinion bearing started to whine at about three (3) years ago @ 72,000 mi.; now at 77,000 it is significantly louder. Will probably get it fixed in early 2013
