rust at rotor and beyond only have 21 thou miles . warranty went 9/10/2013. now this big issue - am upset with this & have a SantaFe, now what ?? Will cost thousands to repair plus have to have towed & only covered for $75.00 big deal. Was not my first choice in auto makers.
Took my car to get tires put on after a worsening wheel alignment problem had caused the tires to bald , after mavis put the new tires on they told me subframe was rotted out and would need replacement ($2500-3500), hyundai let us know that this was a recurring problem with 2002 Sonatas and replaced everything free of charge , they were excellent with the whole process , thanks Hyundai
Rear control arm was rusted and broke away from frame while driving. According to Tire pros pros fixed september 2010. The control arm was replaced.
Right front sub frame failed (rusted through, per AAMOCO) and pulled the axle from the transmission.A used sub frame was installed and a new axle. The repair was completed on 09/09/10.
