On April 6, 2006, Lexus recalled 133 Lexus LS430. On certain vehicles, due to improper assembly of the air bag inflator, which is used in the side air bag, the curtain shield air bag, and the knee air bag assembly, some inflators were produced with an insufficient amount of the heating agents necessary for proper air bag deployment. in this condition, the expansion force of the gas may be insufficient to properly inflate the air bag when the srs system is activated during a crash.

On 133 vehicles, certain airbag inflators were not assembled correctly and may not deploy as expected in the event of a crash.

Toyota, Scion, and Lexus will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning April 6, 2006. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.

On certain vehicles when the accelerator is operated quickly, a small piece of metal may separate from a retaining collar located in the inner part of the automatic transmission. this small piece of metal may become caught in the parking lock mechanism.

On certain passenger vehicles, the impeller inside the fuel pump may have been improperly molded due to a manufacturing error. alcohol in some fuels may deform the impeller and cause it to come into contact with the pump housing.
