I took mine to a Honda Dealer and they told me the same thing that they couldn't find anything wrong. Then I took it to Firestone and had the mechanic ride along with me and once he heard it it said "sway bar links" were bad and that it's not a hazard but should be fixed.
we bought our odyssey last year with 114,000miles on it. the past few months have noticed a clunk, or bumping sound when going over a bump or even turning into a parking spot etc. Honda mechanic said they couldnt find anything wrong. now what?
I have a knock noise coming from the tire well and suspension areas when we drive over a dip in the road or a speed bump. I believe it's happening on almost 3 corners of the car now. It makes this noise louder when it's been raining.
Clicking noise when going over bumps. Took it to Sunnyside Honda and they fixed it at no cost. They replaced the front strut bump stops and the stabilizer.
I noticed that whenever I drive, bumpy roads or not, I often hear clinks like there are rocks stuck inside the chassis. Also, I often feel like the car is loose, as if the body detached from the chassis... And as if that wasn't enough, it's hard to accelerate past 20mph without a bit of lag. My transmission was recently slipping and when I brought it in to Honda, they "fixed it" but every so often, it still slips.
Could this issue be related?
When driving on bumpy pavement or over potholes/ctacks etc, I hear a clunking/knocking noise. Handling so far isn't affexted but the noise id concerning. However, when the vehicle is loaded with cargo or people ( essentially weight) I don't hear it. Also cant hear it on smooth pavement or on highway travelling 50-80 mph . I tried rocking and jerking tires but not strong enough I guess.
I had this problem while going over rough terrain and my mechanic said the car was just being grecksy (sp). I now have a new mechanic. Problem is not fixed though.
