Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC Problems

Rough Shifting of Automatic Transmission on Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC

Problem Description and Possible Solution

Vehicles equipped with a 7-speed automatic transmission may develop a rough shifting condition, most commonly going up from first to second gear and going down from third to second or second to first gear. Our technicians tell us this is due to an internal component failure. Mercedes has released updated parts; the transmission will need to be removed and disassembled to complete the necessary repairs.

My 2008 E350 4Matic has also developed the rough shifting problem. This car has only 69k miles. I wonder if Mercedes has any recalls on this issue?
Transmission fails to shift out of 2nd gears, must pull over put lever in Park turn off engine, wait several seconds and restart. Now will not shift out of 2nd gear and there is a "check engine" light continually. Headed to dealer Monday
Not sure where the problem came from, no warning light was on but the changing shift of transmission seemed rough. I am a fan of e wagon, this is our third one. Any one experience the same situation ? It would be great to share your experience.
when it is cold (under 20 deg F) the transmission will shift into 3 gear very hard. often when I have let off the gas.
Also have experienced a serious shutter throughout the entire vehicle several times when I have passed the 40 to 45 mph while vehicle has been running less than 10 min. If I slow down but continue moving it will go away after another 5 to 10 miles of use at lower speeds. (outside temp when this happened was below 0 deg.)
Bought used E350 and my car gets stuck in first gear , high RPM and doesn't move. I have taken to dealer several times they state they cannot replicate problem. Once it happened at a very busy intersection , very scared to drive my car.
my car hesitate going from first gear to second gear and it rev up high to get to the second gear I also smell burning once past second its seem ok
also going up hills the car slows down and hesitate.HELP
I have a harsh 3-2 shift in comfort mode and a harsh 1-2 in sport mode. The dealer say I need new cirleps and disc springs to return to normal. $600 for parts, $3000 for labor! Taking it to an indy shop today.

The problem is the transmission will get stuck in second gear and it will not shift up or down. To get it to work. I would turn off the car and put in park. Then restart. Then it would be fine until the next time I start it up
Vehicle seems to surge on acceleration at times. Might be transmission issue, not a fuel related issue.
Bought the my car used 5 years ago and I have started having this same problem. Car will not shift out of 1st gear after stopping. Turning off ignition and restarting solves problem. Does not happen every time, but has happened 4 times in last month. Going to dealer to have diagnostic done. Doesn't sound like I will be walking away cheap.
I have the same shifting problems as described and like other people they told me there is nothing wrong. My warranty will be up in a month so I will get stuck if it takes a complete dump.
Shifting is a very noticeable feel when during the vehicle drive motion. Feels like a transmission error beginning to fail. This should be a manufacturer recall.
same problem as report 3, and dealer says need replace transfer case, but after replaced transfer case, now I I got hight meter on 1-2 shift but after 3-4-5 back normal.
