On February 29, 2016, Hyundai recalled 18,700 Hyundai Equus. Hyundai motor america (hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2012 genesis vehicles manufactured august 1, 2011, to april 30, 2012, and 2011-2013 equus vehicles manufactured july 10, 2011, to june 12, 2012. the windshield wiper motor cover seal on the affected vehicles may degrade allowing corrosion on the wiper motor's circuit board. the corrosion can cause intermittent or total loss of wiper function.

The windshield wipers may stop functioning due to corrosion on the wiper motor's circuit board. This can result in loss of clear visibility and increase risk of an accident.

Recalls on your Hyundai must be performed by a Hyundai dealership. Hyundai will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Hyundai recall number is 140.
