After installing a new thermostat i had put an extra half of gallon of coolant and started my car and let it get warm hoping for heat insted it was very cold even after new thermostat. Checked for any of the hoses leaking or collapsed. Everything was fine but the dash light came on low coolant but yet still no heat...Due to the two smaller hoses going into the heater core being one very hot and the other small hose is very cold. So does that mean the heater core is clogged? Or it has an air pocket? Checked the heater core hoses. and checked the radiator hoses both top hoses and bottom for any leaks. Also checked water pump bearing port hole for signs of any leaks and there were none from anything i had checked.
