just need to get new hood struts the old ones are just shot but haven't got them yet they only cost $38 so not bad prices for both of them
Both the hood and the rear hatch supports has failed. So has my mom 1997 Chevrolet Camaro z28 rear hatch has failed. She now has replaced them from Pull A Part.
The trunk lid won't stay up unless you hold it. I got a price for the parts and they are about $60, I haven't fixed it yet.
Hood and rear hatch would not stay up. Replaced all supports and it fixed the problem. The hood supports failed again 8 years later. The rear hatch supports still hold the rear hatch, but they use to raise the hatch when you unlocked it. The supports only opened the rear hatch for about 3 yrs. The rear hatch supports have been in for 9 yrs.
