battery when dead and when replaced air only comes out defrost vents under windshield, have not fixed it yet looking for info about this problem
A/C and Heater blows only through defrost vents; problem occurred immediately following battery replacement at Sears. Online Blogs suggest easy, relatively inexpensive fix by replacement of Mode Door Actuator; however, Hummer dealer indicated ~ $1000 repair charge for service requiring removal of entire dashboard.
Not exactly sure if it happened when changed battery but close to that time. Air doesn't blow hard and direction varies. Air feels like it is pulsating out of vents. Dealership said it needed new door actuator behind dash. Contemplating repair. very costly.
ac started pulsating, then heat started coming out of the driver side dash vents while cold air was coming out of passenger side dash vents when in ac mode, now cold air is coming out when it is in heat mode? looking for answers.
A/C will only blow through main vents.. will not defrost.. A/C stays running on driver side not matter what the switch is set for
The a/c turns on I can hear the compressor work but no air is blown through the duct systems.
Please help
Same thing happen to my hammur one I replace the new battefie it it only blowing air from the defrost area......
AC only blowing hot air. Tried to fix it myself. Took the dash apart and found not get to the actuator above glove box and to the front and under head cross member.
temperature will not stay normal. It will fluctuate and be very hot. I had to run the ac when it was 32 outside to get it cooled off inside. The cool air would only come out at 60. Even turning it to 61 brought out the hot air.
Driver side is blowing hot and passenger side is blowing cool. I tried replenishing AC, but as soon as the gas was depressed it came back hot on driver side.
It's not fixed yet, but I have a problem with my battery going dead, and the most recent time, when I got it running again the AC will only blow through the defroster and floor vents. Looking for a solution.

Also, airbags keep deflating but I have the parts to fix it.
