Front brake rotors can wear causing a pulsation felt in the brake pedal. Our technicians often recommend replacement of the front rotors and brake pads as the best option to correct this condition.

Had rotors resurfaced, New brake pads , New tires at 48,000 miles now 4 years later I am dealing with the same problem. Shaking steering wheel and squeaky brakes ! This is ridiculous and costly . I have had no other problems with this car.

after getting brake turned and replaced twice - still have the problem - went back to the dealer and they replaced the steering column , if you have brakes vibrating and clanking issues , it is the steering column that needs to be replaced… tell the dealer to replaced it under warranty

Had pulsation and squeaking with front brakes last year. The Toyota dealer replaced pads and rotors. New breaks started squealing. Took it back into dealer and was told the brakes needed to be burnished. That lasted three weeks. Took in again and was told that the squeaking wasn't my front brakes but an expansion pin in my rear brakes that they would lube at no charge. Later that day, the squealing was back. Dealer had to swap out the Toyota brakes they installed for a set of AC Delco brakes. Within a month they were squealing again, so I took it to a GM dealer who took the brakes apart, cleaned them and applied some anti-vibration compound, but warned that the squeal may come back in 6 months but it seemed to do the trick. This all occurred from April 2014 to August 2014. Now my breaks are squealing, but only at 35-40mph. I take it back into the GM dealer only for them to tell me I need to replace both front brakes (pads and rotors). When I pointed the lifespan of the current brakes to the GM Service coordinator, he told me to take it back to the Toyota dealer for the warranty claim. Is it normal to burn through brakes in less than a year?
