Pontiac Vibe Front Brake Rotor Wear Can Cause Pulsations

Front brake rotors can wear causing a pulsation felt in the brake pedal. Our technicians often recommend replacement of the front rotors and brake pads as the best option to correct this condition.

Had rotors resurfaced, New brake pads , New tires at 48,000 miles now 4 years later I am dealing with the same problem. Shaking steering wheel and squeaky brakes ! This is ridiculous and costly . I have had no other problems with this car. -
after getting brake turned and replaced twice - still have the problem - went back to the dealer and they replaced the steering column , if you have brakes vibrating and clanking issues , it is the steering column that needs to be replaced… tell the dealer to replaced it under warranty -
Pulsations turning rotors worked for a month had to replace rotors and pads -
coming down hill on fwy front end vibrates violently when applying brakes -
rotors replaced discs also -
Front brakes pulsated,took car to repair shop,put on new rotors and brake pads. all ok now. Bougt car new Sept. 2003 and only problem we had with it. -
