Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2017-2018 ford f-150 and 2018 ford expedition and mustang and lincoln navigator vehicles equipped with 10-speed automatic transmissions. a roll pin may not have been installed in the transmission, potentially causing a loss of the "park" function.

The transmission may be missing an important roll pin during manufacturing, resulting in the vehicle not being securely in the park gear when it is selected. This would allow the vehicle to roll away unexpectedly if the parking brake is not applied, increasing risk of injury and a crash.

Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
