I noticed my car leaking oil by the right wheel area. The dealership told me this problem was my oil cooler at a price of $271.00. This is the second time this problem has happen to me within a 2 years.
Replaced Oil Filter/Cooler Gasket which was in excellent shape , Lasted 2 weeks Oil leak returned.
Noticed oil leaking on driveway close to passenger-side wheel, had leak diagnosed/inspected by local repair shop. Was told it was the oil cooler gasket that needed to be replaced. Was quoted high price to replace a $5 part. Will be fixing it myself after ordering part and doing research on the problem.
i brought this car from nissan security january 26 2011 i took this car back to dealer to get an oil change the dealer told me i need a oil cooler seal and a oil pan gasket cause i have an oil leak
oil leak at seal to oil cooler. It will be fixed tomorrow. I do not think that it will be too least that is what I have been told.
My car would leak alot of oil so I had a mechanic look into it and according to him the oil cooler was cracked and leaking oil. He said usually these parts dont ever have to be replaced unless its defective. =(
Had both Valve cover gaskets replaced... Turned out severe leak was coming from the engine oil cooler.
I recently bought a 2007 maxima, after a couple months I noticed an oil leak. I'm having a tech at my job work on it, now that I see this is a common problem I'll have to be more prepared.
I noticed a puddle of oil. I took it to the dealership. They had diagnosed the problem as a Oil cooler seal leak.
I have oil that leaks out on the right passage side. My husband had the oil pan repair and the problem is still leaking. This has been going on for several month. My husband keep taking the car to have the mechanic to loo at it,. They say the same thing over and over again. THEY DON'T SEE THE LEAK.
The car is leaking oil when started by oil filter, The dealership says they believe it to be the o ring at filter housing, How do you replace the o ring.
Oil cooler leak's about1/2 qt. A mo.Hadn't fixed till this day 167.498 mi, They tell me i must replace oil cooler
DC OFF light would randomly come on while drivingand there would be a sound similar to that of a bazooka @ the same time the light came on . then the car would seem to get stuck in some low gear with minimal power/ no git up n go & usually stall out or die. I took it to the dealership. They found an oil leak that caused damage to my car . but the cause of the light, stall issue was cam shaft sensor bank 1. They fixed it. That cost over a grand . a couple months later I was having the same issues this time it was bank 2, and another $500 to replace bank 2 and repair more damage from oil leak. So is this part of a recall since many maximas have the same issue? Wouldn't the Nissan dealership recognize if it is part of a recall. I feel like the mechanics portrayed this whole thing like it wasn't a typical problem with maximas. So I'd end up back in the shop with my car spending more $.
