Major exhaust leak from both sides of the motor plus plumes of white smoke spewing from the muffler
I have plumes of white smoke coming from the muffler on occasion. It is not consistent. Took it to shop twice for this problem and they couldn't find cause. But they said that as long as it was white and not grey, it is safe. It's just because the car is old but any grey smoke would indicate a problem and to bring it in.
