Just had flex pipe replaced due to excessive noise. Noise is from front of vehicle. Shop said they do wear out and fail. It was replaced at local car repair business that does exhaust work. Took about 30 minutes.
Loud exhaust humm in the front/center of the vehicle. I will update with a mechanic/cost.
flex pipe failed, the car is very loud now.
Sounds like my flex pipe just went.
Now I need to find out hiw much it is to have repaired
2008 SAAB 95 AERO. Front pipe flex section failed - nice loud exhaust noise, increased HP from reduced back pressure & annoyed neighbors. $102 -
Flex pipe and piece of steel behind rusted out.
flex pipe needs replacement, as well as a new muffler, as a huge hole has rusted out of it.
Replace flex pipe.
Started out of nowhere. Started the car one morning and could definitely hear a leak. The exhaust leak/excessive sound is coming from the front center. Especially noticeable when the front driver or front passenger door is open. Going to take it in to a local exhaust shop. I'll update with cost after its competed.
Not solved yet. Covered under extended warrenty but Saab does not have parts in stock due to bankruptcy. They said they hope to have this addressed in the next couple weeks.
Same issue as described.
