Cranks won't start

(1996 Land Rover Discovery)

Low fuel light comes on when key is turned on, engine won't crank until it goes out but then won't start. OBDll won't connect to engine. Replaced crank shaft positioning sensor, no change. No spark.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? nothing
How long have you had this problem? since thanksgiving

If you are not getting an OBDII connection, check your data link connection fuse to see if it has blown. Replace as needed and retry testing.

Replacing the crankshaft position sensor was a waste of time and money.

Testing is required - have you performed a fuel pressure test at the fuel rail?
