After getting the "check VSC" message with a lit engine and traction control lights on i took my IS to Lexus...the same codes P0751 & P2714 came up. They told me the transmission wiring harness needs to be replaced (~$750) but that this may not be the root cause. A new transmission may be needed. Any help/advise on this subject would be highly appreciated!
Cvs light came on and check engine light .scanner read code 2417 silenoide d stuck off and I feel car doesn't go to 5,6 speed, mechanic tell me I need a new transmission but idint think car was running strong before .what do you suggest me to do to solve the problem.i have been reading a lot about this issues and people suggest change gas tap , dirty sensor oxygen sensor .i don't kwon what to do
my engine light is on and wouldn't pass a smog test. it's a 2007 IS250. The "CHECK VSC" light is on as well and the smog shop gave me the following codes that need to be taken care off before they perform another smog test: P0894, P2757, P0761, P2714. Per Lexus of Valencia, i need a new transmission. They had a recall done about a year ago where there was carbon build up and my car had to stay at the shop for about 6 weeks. When they finished the work, the service guy told me that they did a bunch of work and I have an almost brand new engine. Three months later, the check VSC light came on again. This time, they did a transmission flush. Now it's been a year, and they're saying I need a new transmission? And have to pay $5,000 for it? Much as I love driving Lexus the cost of maintenance is ridiculous. It would be okay if the car is more than 10 years old but it's a 2007. I had to replace the rotors and tires too when it was only two years old and oil change seems too expensive. I drove a Nissan for more than five years but never had problems whatsoever like these.
I have same problem like the previous post. I have a 2007 IS250. The "CHECK VSC" light is on and same codes P0894, P2757, P0761, P2714. Tustin Lexus also recommended a new transmission. They had a recall done about a year ago where there was carbon build up and my car had to stay at the shop for about 2 weeks. They also done a lot of stuff including rebuilding the engine. Three months later, there was a problem with the fuel pump so I got that replaced. 6 months after that, the check VSC light came on. I also did a transmission flush, but the "CHECK VSC" is still coming back. The car drives fine so I just ignored it, and still driving fine for almost a year now, hopefully it is just a little bug in the ECM.
Lexus advises that they believe the engine ECM should be replaced. This after 5 visits for vsc / check engine light and firmware flashing, resetting, etc. not part of the latest CSP program for rough idling and stalling.
Gear stuck at 3 or 4th. Reset Engine light and for some reason, fixed the stuck gear problem temporarily. Have been resetting and driving with the problem for a year now. It is getting worst, not fix yet.
same issue, TSB on carbon build-up was performed a couple years ago but issues came back in last few months. dealer claims it is carbon build up but will not address as there is no recall or TSB on the issue at the moment.
