The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube which connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold may develop an engine vacuum leak, causing the Check Engine Light to illuminate with code P0171 and/or P0174 stored.

I have changed the EGR Valve about 3 times and it's still saying The EGR Valve is open
Check Engine Light Due to Vacuum Leak in EGR Tube
Check engine light came on and nothing happened for awhile. After a few months, the engine started making really loud sounds, like I was revving the engine, when my foot was not on the break or gas pedal. The noise has gotten progressively louder.
for a year and half check engine light has been on reading the same code even though it's been repaired
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF RANDOMLY, HAD IT CHECKED AND IT GAVE THE EGR CODE, NO PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR THOUGH LIGHT NOT ON ISSUE NOT FIXED

Changed egr valve 3 times now because thats what the codes show . Dealership Don Mullon has done a pressure check on vacum leaks. Low coolant light came on also. Now it has 150,000 Still same problem. This time it cost me 689.00 to fix .Replaceing EGR VALVE AGAIN and a coolant light sensor. I just replaced it less than 30 days ago cost me 227.00.
In Connecticut it will not pass emissions to get plates on the vehicle.
Had to get EGR valve cleaned. Check engine light was on. Engine would cut off when at stop light. According to mechanic the EGR valve was getting stuck open when it should be closes when Im at a stop. Because it was stuck open, engine was not getting the right air/fuel mixture cause it too shut down
I just purchased a used Chevy Impala 3.4 liter. I am having problems with acceleration. When I came to a complete stop and then accelerate the car it hesitates and jerks between 0-25 mph. The engine breathes heavy and the rmp fluctuates. I am not displaying any check engine lights. I believe it has some to do with the fuel system. I poured some fuel system clean in the tank to clean the injectors and filter and went to Walmart to have injectors blown out. It has help a little but still having the problem. I am about to take it to the shop to have them look at the throttle body sensor, fuel regulator, MAF sensor, MAP sensor and check for vacuum leak. Is there anything else that I should have them check to solve the problem? Has anyone else had this problem?
Only drove about 2 miles. Once I got a half mile from my destination out of no where, I notice at a stop light my engine was putting. It was running like complete cramp so I left it over night at the place I was headed to. Took it to am engine repair. Guy said my #2 cylinder is misfiring and something with my fuel egr.
Egr tube leaking at manifold. If I spray carb cleaner where it bolts to intake engine speed up. Also gave code p0171. Drove me crazy.

Car don't want to take gas want go over 40 mph! Don't know what to do! And my indicater also say low engine power
