i have change out the camshaft sensor and still my engine like still come on, where is the crankshaft sensor located on my engine....please help me....i check my gas cap and make sure it is on tight.
Check engine light comes on replaced gas cap went out for quit awhile but now it is one again. Dealership said there is a bulletin out. Car runs fine and there is no performance loss. One dealership wants to clean injectors for $240 but i really don't think thats the problem Any Ideas???? Karl
This seems to be a common problem with HHRs. I've replaced gas caps, taken it to the dealer and nobody can find any issues. They reset the codes and it will stay off for awhile and then come back on. I've just learned to live with it.
Engine light came on - checked gasoline tank cap - blew it off to clean - replaced it and light went off - has periodically come on again and then goes off again - some brands of gasoline also seem to cause it to come on -
2009 HHR. At 48500 miles, the check engine light is on. I changed the spark plugs and coil caps. Light stayed out for few hundred miles but now back on.
When i take my gas cap off and put it back on. ..my service traction ...esc abs lights all comes on stay on for a week before going off how serious is this problem
My gas cap was loose and worn out and it kept causing the check engine light to come on. I finally replaced it with a standard gas cap for this model and after driving for about 2 minutes the light cleared off and has remained off ever since quick fix!
The gas cap has been replaced three times. A smoke test was done originally to diagnose the problem. It appears that the gas caps don't 'really' fit this vehicle. So, I wouldn't really care, but the auto-start cannot work without that damn engine light off, so the one thing that worked on this pos, now can't work. We will NEVER buy another GM product.
Twice this problem happened to me. Replaced the gas cap and it worked for a few years. Now its doing it again.
Check engine light kept coming on and the computer codes kept saying due to the gas cap so I repla it
Evap code thrown even after replacing the canister valve, car does not want to start always....so aggravating! =/
