Went to AUTO ZONE and they diagnosed EVAP problem and they don't carry the part. Code P0443
I was given the car several months ago by my church. I am a single mom and my previous car died and I could not afford to get the $3000 repairs on it. So my church gave this car. I not only have the check engine light on but I also have several other issues with it. The drivers side window is off track and is now duct taped to my door frame to keep it up. The positive on the battery keeps popping off (sometimes when I am driving) and even the flashers wont work. Scared I'm going to be hit because I have no way of warning others that my car is disabled. I am now hearing a buzzing noise coming from front passenger side air bag area and its only when the car is running, never while it's off. I feel like I went from one bad situation to another one and I cannot afford to get this car repaired either. I live in the Southwest Orlando area.
had a bad fuel smell when starting up. Mechanic noted vaccum hose to the purge canister was not hooked up. Fixed that, got new fuel filter. Still smells like gas.

_update! need a new charcoal canister! who knew? $280.00
