I cannot play any CDs in the stock CD Player. I can still use the radio though. The screen just says ERROR every time I insert a CD.
CD player says check cd...try and put one in and it just comes back out...tried to clean with canned air and still doesn't work...it also makes a little racket
It's been slowly getting worse over the course of two years but the radio will just buzz static and radio stations that fade in and out at random all while the tune dial won't work. I used to be able to bang on the dashboard and that would cause the radio to work making me think it's a loose wire of some sort
The cd player reads ERR and ejects disc, I dont know how to fix Probably cheaper to take ZR2 truck to audio store and get new radio than take to dealer. Too many bad experience with dealerships do not trust any of them.
The CD player failed in My S-10 couple of years after I bought the truck new.
Your Best bet is........find one with the features you really like, and have it installed.
Chuck the old one, as it will just give you more headaches as time goes on.
The CD skipped! Replaced twice in 2 years under warranty. They replaced with reconditioned, not new !
