On November 21, 2016, Buick recalled 4 Buick Cascada. General motors llc (gm) is recalling certain model year 2016 buick cascada vehicles manufactured december 2, 2015, to february 24, 2016. the affected vehicles may have had the original convertible roof control module (crcm) replaced with an incorrect crcm, that allows the windows to close automatically when the roof is closed and can allow the windows to be closed remotely using the key fob. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 118, "power-operated window systems."

The power windows may close automatically when closing the convertible roof, or when remotely using the key fob (remote control). This could cause the windows to close when not expected by passengers inside the vehicle, and could result in injury.

Recall repairs on your Buick must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 16126.
