(volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2017 audi a5 cabriolet, a5 sedan and audi q5 vehicles, 2012-2015 audi a6 vehicles and 2013-2016 audi a4 sedan and a4 allroad vehicles. these vehicles, equipped with 2.0l turbo fsi engines, have an electric coolant pump that can either become blocked with debris from the cooling system causing it to overheat or can short-circuit from moisture within the pump.

The electric cooling pump for the engine may become blocked with debris causing it to overheat, or can short-circuit from moisture within the pump, possibly causing an engine fire as a result. 

Recall repairs on your Audi must be performed by a Audi dealership. Audi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Audi dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Audi recall numbers are 19N3 and 19N4.

The driver's frontal air bag assembly is deployed by an inflator which contains propellant that makes the air bag deploy. This propellant may degrade over time, especially when exposed to humidity and temperature cycling. As a result, the inflator may rupture on deployment, which can send metal shrapnel through the air bag, striking vehicle occupants. This could result in serious injury or death.

Recall repairs on your Audi must be performed by a Audi dealership. Audi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Audi dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
