Noise and/or Dead Battery Due to failed Alternator on GMC Savana 1500

Problem Description and Possible Solution

The alternator may fail causing the battery to go dead. The charge light on the dash may or may not illuminate. The alternator may also develop an abnormal noise. A failed alternator will require replacement.

I'm trying to change this alternator and this things built so wierd. I want to know how to change this alternator
alt failed to charge battery. Replaced battery and alternator. 3 days later gauge began to show erratic charging and not charging, resulting in a complete dsicharge of the battery, requiring a jump start.
