Problem overview

The intake temperature sensor may fail resulting in illumination of the Check Engine Light and various driveability concerns. Our technicians tell us the intake air temperature reading on the scan tool should be within 10 degrees F of the actual ambient temperature, if it's not the intake temperature sensor should be replaced.
