AC works more off hen on.
It didn't work x 1 year (only one evening it turned on over that time), then worked for 2 years, followed by another 1 1/2 years of not working and 2 months working again and currently not working.
These cycles occur without intervention (quote is around $1000 for new a/c, no other options provided for repair).
When the air conditioning fails, the air circulation is failing as well.
Vehicle will over heat while running when not moving. A/C does not work except while vehicle is being driven. When vehicle comes to a complete stop the A/C shuts off on its own and from the engine bay you will hear the compressor click on and off causing the vehicle to over heat and this will cease to exist when the vehicle starts moving again. I refuse to see an auto shop and prefer to do this work myself. My examination of the engine cooling system in progress with the A/C on shows only 1 of the 2 electric fans running. Drivers side fan is completely still. No solution is available that I can find.
