When the car sets overnight and is started, there's a sound like a power steering pump that is low on fluid. It only lasts a split second. Shut it down and restart it and there's no noise at all.

Did major collision for 20years and have seen this. How old is the battery? There is a space between the plates in the battery and the bottom where debris from the plate collects with age and with an impact it can shift and get into the plates and cause a internal short and even jumping it wont work. How was the battery tested and what is the voltage before trying to start and during?

Yes the there is 2 thin wires to the lock cylinder that break as well as the contacts in the ignition cylinder wearing and developing a poor connection at the key. I the pass-key II system determines there is a fault instead of a theft you'll get a message the car may not restart on some with drivers info display until you disconnect the battery, then it wont restart, it will automatically go into antitheft mode and shut it down when it doesn't see the proper resistance on the circuit to the key and cylinder

The HVAC sends .8 - 6v to the resistor mounted by the blower, whpk wire. Remove the lower hush panel to expose the blower and resistor, most of the time the blower will run at low speed not realizing it when the resistor is bad. Check voltage at whpk wire while adjusting the fan speed- .8 low to 6.0 max
