RepairPal Goes Pink for October: Help Us Support Brakes for Breasts

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, RepairPal is excited to participate in Brakes for Breasts, a unique opportunity for both shops and consumers to join in the fight against breast cancer.

After losing her mother during cancer treatment, Laura Frank, owner of Auto Repair Technology and Royal Car Care & Tire Center, along with friend LeighAnne, Marketing Manager of RepairPal Certified Mighty Auto Pro, used their experience in the automotive industry to create a program that provided free brake pads to participating repair shops, while donating a portion of labor costs to a cancer vaccine research center at the Cleveland Clinic.

The program gained popularity and Brakes for Breasts was born. While most cancer fundraising programs contribute resources to breast cancer awareness and treatment, funds from Brakes for Breasts support research for the first-ever breast cancer vaccine—an innovation that could revolutionize the way we think about treatment for breast and ovarian cancer.

The vaccine is now in initial stages of the FDA approval process and, with over 160 repair shops in 34 states participating, Brakes for Breast is dedicated to surpassing its $500,000 fundraising goal. We're especially excited that 35 of these shops are RepairPal Certified, ensuring a highly-trained staff and fair pricing for customers.
