Brakes For Breasts: RepairPal Certified Shops Helping In The Fight For A Cure (2017)

october is breast cancer awareness month and, across the nation, many are helping in any way they can in the fight for a cure.

in the auto industry, october is also brake safety awareness month, encouraging drivers to get their brakes inspected and replaced if needed. combining these two great causes, many repairpal certified shops across the nation are participating in brakes for breasts, a month-long initiative dedicated to the fight against breast cancer – through brake pads!

from their website, brakes for breasts is helping put the brakes on breast cancer.

"during october, more than 100 independent auto repair shops from across the united states are offering free brake pads to their customers. for every brake service performed at one of our shops, our customer will receive their brake pads for free and just pay for the labor and other parts."

so how does this service fund breast cancer research? each shop has committed to donating 10% of that brake service to the cleveland clinic breast cancer vaccine research fund.
