Thrust Rod Bushings Replacement
The thrust rod attaches the vehicle's suspension to the chassis and stabilizes and controls the suspension's fore and aft movement.
Wear in the thrust rod bushings may cause a vibration that is felt in the steering wheel or brake pedal when the brakes are applied.
To replace the thrust rod bushings, the thrust rod is removed, and the old bushings are pressed out of the thrust rod. New bushings are then pressed into the thrust rod, and the suspension is reassembled. It may be necessary to have the wheel alignment checked after replacing the bushings.
